Our Deacon Board has several of their own ministries that happen each year.  At Christmas time, we gather food for food baskets for ten families in our community.  We ask that people bring ten items of the same food to be included in the baskets.  They are then packaged up and delivered to area families in need.

 

Deacon’s also do the beautiful Christmas decorating in the sanctuary for Advent.  Some of their other ministries include: Visiting shut-ins, hospital visits, transportation to worship, sending cards for different occasions, and more.  They are also involved in our new Pittsburg County Jail Ministry called "Project Layla". Our deacons bring the Word of God into the Women's Pod at Pittsburg County and share God's Word by reading the bible, watching "The Chosen" episodes and singing.
